Chapter 1 Verses 1-13

Question 1:

The earth was a dark ocean.

Question 2: Verse 2 says God was hovering and brooding over the earth. What do you think God was thinking about?

I think He was bored and lonely.

Question 3: What was the first of God’s commandments for the earth? Why do you think He did this?

He said let there be light.  I think He was tired of the darkness.

Question 4: Describe in order God’s commands to change the emptiness of the earth? (Verses 3-13)

He created light and separated it from the darkness so there was day and night.  Then He made a sky and separated it from the water and He called the sky heaven.  Then He made a place for land to dry and He planted trees with seeds and He called it earth.

Question 5: God first created light, then He dried the land and then He planted vegetation.  What does this tell you about the way God does things?
