Dear Parents

Horse Whisper is a safe and loving faith community designed to nurture and grow your tween or teen’s faith. Whether your young believer is just beginning their journey, or advancing from Sunday School to Youth Group, we provide activities to deepen their understanding of Bible teachings to draw them closer to God. Being part of a community of other young believers not only encourages our teens to step out in faith, but it also provides an environment of unconditional acceptance where they feel like they belong.

Horse Whisper is committed to providing a community that helps young believers navigate negative peer pressure by surrounding them with positive influences. We’re keeping our eyes on Jesus! Our supportive environment empowers them to make choices that align with God’s purpose for their lives.

We love ourselves and each other because He loved us first. God’s love never waivers, and at Horse Whisper, we build everything on this message to 1) support believers’ self-worth so they feel accepted and valued just as they are, and 2) inspire them to value others in the same way. Understanding God’s unconditional love helps young believers stay strong emotionally, especially during the tender teen years. It reminds them that mistakes or setbacks don’t define their worth or their relationship with God.

OUR Bible Studies

Tailored for beginners, HWW uses scripture from various Bibles, including the New International Version (NIV), Amplified Bible (Amp), or International Children’s Bible (ICB) to provide the wording and context most easily digested by young believers. This approach helps them to feel less intimidated by the complex language, historical context, and spiritual depth of the Bible. Designed for on-the-go study, chapters are thoughtfully broken up or combined to provide the right context for understanding. Study questions are simple enough for young believers to answer, yet also ideal for family study time.

SAFE ONLINE INTERACTION

At HWW, user anonymity is a priority. Community interactions are not posted with an identifiable name, so users are free to share their thoughts without fear of judgment. Most importantly, this approach ensures that online identities remain protected, providing parents with peace of mind regarding their child’s safety and privacy. Additionally, community interactions are moderated, enabling HWW to monitor for inappropriate content and maintain a safe environment.

RESPECT FOR FAMILY VALUES

Horse Whisper believes that parents are the best source for instilling values in their children. Therefore, we avoid sensitive and/or political topics. When necessary, user requests or submissions are paraphrased in a parent-minded manner, ensuring young believers feel heard and respected. Following these same principles, peer responses may also be paraphrased to encourage thoughtful engagement within the context of Biblical teachings.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Mary and her husband run Landslide Stables, a cozy boarding stable for retired horses. When she’s not busy with the horses, two barn cats, two dogs, or hanging out with her grandkids, you’ll find her volunteering at church. She’s involved in everything from teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School to Stephen Ministry, and her church’s Food Pantry.
