BIBLE PLUNGE
Welcome to Bible Plunge!
The Bible Plunge page is where we’ll read and learn the Bible together. That might sound overwhelming, like you won’t understand long scriptures or ancient ways of speaking, but we’ll break it down, so you understand and are inspired. No worries about figuring things out on your own because your friends are learning too! Together, we’ll put all the pieces together.
Studying the Bible is the best thing you can do in your life. Great joy will come from understanding how much God thinks about you and wants to bring good things to you. On this page you will also find a WWJD Warrior challenge, where we tackle problem-solving together with faith, wisdom, and the ways of Jesus that we’ve learned from the Beatitudes.
We are so happy you are here, and we hope that by reading and studying the Bible you will better understand how very much you are loved, and that God created you for special purpose that’s yours alone. Dig in, learn the Bible, have fun, and believe in the amazing plans God has for you!
Old Testament
New Testament
The New Testament could also be called God’s “Instruction Manual for Living.” There are so many things to learn from Jesus about loving others, forgiving them, and living a life that honors God. No one understands the things we go through more than Him, even on our worst days. Jesus was ridiculed, mocked, and even spit upon. One of His best friends betrayed Him and handed Him over to die painfully on a cross. But through it all, Jesus always forgave and never gave up on the goodness of people. We’ll study His teachings to inspire courage and hope, and to strengthen our faith that God is always at our side, bringing us through any challenge that comes our way.
The Book of Genesis
Genesis is the first book in the Bible, in the Old Testament. In Genesis we’ll learn about the creation of the earth, the early stories of humanity, and the patriarchs of the Israelites, like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Genesis has everything – epic beginnings, family drama and divine encounters.

The WWJD Challenge

Welcome to the WWJD Challenge!
This is the place where we’ll put the Beatitudes into action! Through the WWJD Challenge, we’ll use real-life problem scenarios and come up with ways to solve them using the values Jesus taught us.
How It Works
Below you will find scenarios inspired by common challenges we face. Your challenge is to consider what Jesus would do in that situation and share your thoughts on how to apply the Beatitudes to problem-solve.
Why Participate?
Participating helps deepen our understanding of the Beatitudes and helps us handle similar situations in a positive way when they happen in our own lives. We can also inspire others and bring more peace and respect into our communities!
Submit Your Responses
We’re excited to see how you Shine the Light! Share your thoughts and ideas on how to handle each scenario and read the Community responses to see what others have to say. Together, we can grow in faith and learn from each other.
If you have an idea for a scenario, feel free to submit it here.
You joined an after-school youth group that meets three times a week for a variety of sports and other fun activities. Recently, a group of friends from another school joined and began targeting one of the quieter members, Sam, with teasing and bullying. Although he’s good at outdoor sports, Sam struggles with basketball. Sam’s friends want to play soccer and football, but the new group says it’s too cold and they will only play basketball. The situation has been escalating, and Sam is becoming more withdrawn and upset. He didn’t show up the last time the group met.
Using your peacemaker skills, what would you do?
You’ve been out all day Christmas shopping, and have finally finished buying all of the presents on your list. You’re excited to have money leftover and the shoes you’ve been wanting are on sale. You spend the rest of your money on your shoes and head home. Later you’re looking over your receipts and discover the sales clerk didn’t ring up one of the items in your bag.
What do you do?
You’ve had a long, tiring day, and you stop by a grocery store to pick up a few items on your way home. At the checkout, the cashier is visibly irritated and starts snapping at you and other customers. They rudely toss your items into the bag and mutter under their breath about how slow everyone is. You feel upset and uncomfortable about the way you and others are being treated.
